Pink Hat reported Thursday that it ideas to purchase container and Kubernetes-indigenous protection company StackRox. Crimson Hat claimed it will use the offer to provide StackRox’s protection computer software to its OpenShift Kubernetes platform. 

The StackRox software package aims to offer visibility throughout Kubernetes clusters by deploying factors for enforcement and details collection straight into the Kubernetes cluster infrastructure. StackRox also gives a plan engine that incorporates hundreds of built-in controls to enforce safety ideal procedures, market benchmarks and configuration management.

With StackRox, Crimson Hat said it will aim on increasing protection for cloud-indigenous workloads by growing and refining Kubernetes’ indigenous controls, and shifting safety into the container establish and CI/CD phase.

Red Hat claimed it programs to open source StackRox’s engineering immediately after the acquisition closes. In addition to OpenShift, StackRox will continue to support numerous Kubernetes platforms, including Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Provider, Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Service, and Google Kubernetes Engine.
